Fall is well on its way and it’s a great time to appreciate the changing of the leaves. We live in a gorgeous state with four wonderful seasons. As the holidays rapidly approach, there are a few PTA tasks that need to be completed. Don’t forget to file your 990 tax form with the IRS, submit your audit and report membership dues.
As I travel around the state, I hear many parents saying that they’ve been giving so much of their time and energy to PTA through volunteering and fundraising. Let’s think of ways to show our appreciation for all the parents in the PTA (the ‘P’ in PTA) – considering hosting a “Cookie & Me Time” to thank them for everything they’ve done. What other ways can we show our gratitude to parents before the year is over?
I would like to personally invite you to join us for our Holiday Open House at the State Office in Knoxville on Saturday, November 18th. We will have a tree adorned with ornaments from PTA/PTSA units across the state. We would be delighted to have an ornament from your local unit to add to our office tree. More details about this will be out soon!
We look forward to seeing you at our Holiday Open House!
