Every unit should have a copy to get involved in ESSA. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/rdcms-pta\/files\/production\/public\/Advocacy\/6%20Keys%20to%20Engaging%20Families%20in%20ESSA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parent and Family Engagement in ESSA\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESSA specifically calls for parents to be meaningfully involved and consulted in the development of state and school district education plans. These education plans provide the framework for how a state and school district will deliver education services to public elementary and secondary school students.<\/p>\r\n<p>Additionally, the law requires that parents must be involved in the creation of \u201cstate report cards\u201d that provide information on how all schools in the state are performing\u2014such as graduation rates, attendance and student achievement levels.
