Eligibility to Serve as an Officer<\/strong>
Requirements<\/span> for<\/span> Nominees:<\/span><\/span>
1.<\/span> Only<\/span> a<\/span> member<\/span> of<\/span> a<\/span> Tennessee<\/span> local<\/span> unit<\/span> PTA in good standing shall be eligible to hold of<\/span>fice in<\/span> Tennessee PTA.<\/span><\/span>
2.<\/span> The nominee(s) shall have served at least one year as committee chair or officer in a local, council or<\/span> state PTA in any of the National PTA constituent associations.<\/span><\/span>
3.<\/span> The<\/span> nominee<\/span> for<\/span> President<\/span>–<\/span>elect<\/span> must<\/span> have<\/span> served<\/span> at<\/span> least two<\/span> (2)<\/span> terms<\/span> on<\/span> the<\/span> Tennessee<\/span> PTA<\/span> Board<\/span> of<\/span> Directors<\/span>, or at least one term on the Tennessee PTA Board of<\/span> Directors<\/span> and at least one term on the<\/span> Board<\/span> of<\/span> Directors<\/span> for<\/span> another<\/span> National<\/span> PTA<\/span> Congress. One<\/span> of<\/span> these<\/span> terms<\/span> shall<\/span> be as<\/span> an<\/span> elected<\/span> officer.<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\r\n
<\/span>NLDC Responsibility
<\/strong>The NLDC is responsible to present a slate of elected officers to the annual meeting in odd-numbered years.<\/h5>\r\n
Board of Directors Appointed Positions<\/strong>
The NLDC will also collect interest forms for board positions and forward those interested in a board position to the incoming 2027-2029 Executive Committee. This form is for committee chairs and for Region Directors. Online Board Interest Form<\/a><\/span>
