Bylaws Amendment 1<\/strong> To amend the first sentence of Article XVII: State Annual Meeting; Section 7. Special meeting of the membership may be called by the President (with the majority of board approval), or by 2\/3 vote of the board of directors, or by written request of at least fifty (50) members. Currently reads: Special meetings of the membership may be called by the President or by written request of at least fifty (50) members. Rationale: This amendment allows transparency of a special called meeting with the board for approval with a majority vote if called by the President or a two-thirds vote if not called by the president. As it stands, the President can independently call for a special meeting without the knowledge, inclusion, or approval of the board.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n
